The Christian Science Research Library
is opening their new building in Frondirion, Elmdon (Cambridge), available to
receive visitors by appointment shortly. Anyone who may wish to use the Library

The following is the Mission Statement
of the Library, and below that you will find their four part Book on Mrs. Eddy
that has been on this site for reading or downloading.
CHRISTIAN SCIENCE FOUNDATION was
established in England as a charitable trust in 1986. Charitable status was
sought and obtained in order that its Library, containing archive and
contemporary material on the Bible and Christian Science, should be
impersonally held, preserved and administered on behalf of man – “the
generic term for all humanity” (Un 51:14). The Trustees are all active
students of Christian Science who are under no personal direction but accept
the unique authority of the Bible and Mary Baker Eddy’s writings. The
Foundation is independent, has no membership, and is not affiliated to the
church in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.

The following Booklet was written by Margaret J. Jewson, of
London, England, presents a new view of Christian Science structure and
organization, focusing on the Bible, Science & Health, and the Manual.
Margaret Jewson was a student of John Doorly, C.S.B., and
analyzed the subject matter in the booklet according to the scientific system
of the seven and the four discovered and taught by Mr. Doorly.
Margaret said she formed the habit, when writing, of
reducing material to a short, concise essay, thereby making it a simple task
for the reader to learn.
Many have found her clear explanations of the Science of
Christian Science invaluable.

If we use the Science of today we can better understand God
and Man and lift thought and reasoning above the commonly misunderstood concept
of DNA.
The physical scientist tell us that each individual comes
into the world with their own DNA--In lay terms DNA is the building blocks of
your being or identity.
In computer language, this could be referred to as a
database. This data holds information that has been input. The conventional
method is to use data from historical records of the DNA of one's parents,
grandparents etc back to the first known ancestor. This information has been
stored in the seed, cells, embryo etc and programmed into the human brain. This
information is deemed to be the source of one's DNA by the physical
scientist.
Over the years, various physical scientists have applied
their research findings (software equations and languages) to what they believe
to be the DNA of one's identity and have produced a result based on such
beliefs. However, one must consider if the real DNA database is used as the
input or if it is a material based set of theories, beliefs, so-called laws,
and opinions.

Consciousness? When seen in its spiritual connotation it must obviously be the
latter.
Thus no one has to come to America but needs only to
realize the reality of government under God, no matter where thy are located.
America is a symbol for freedom and freedom is with God, this is everywhere
present, active and complete.

The following article, including a most interesting
selection from a book by Charles Lindbergh is from A Verbatim Report on "THE
SCIENCE OF THE BIBLE TALK" given in 1948 by John Doorly.
If we people are not just dabblers, if we don't merely want
to help somebody we want to help, but if we are on our toes mentally and
spiritually, if we are real thinkers, real seekers, if we want to understand
God in order that we may be able to demonstrate God for mankind, then we shall
go somewhere. The light of the Science of the Christ is today on the point of
breaking on mankind. We are "not many mighty, not many noble," but what we are
seeing is Immanuel, "God with us," and that is its power, its majesty, and its
might, and that is its substance.

We are here today to talk about Christian Science. We are
not merely considering religion, we are considering Science. There is no time
element in Science. Mrs. Eddy tells us, "Christ's Christianity is the chain of
scientific being reappearing in all ages, maintaining its correspondence with
the Scriptures and uniting all periods in the design of God." She also tells us
in Science and Health p 546 line 23, "Christian Science is dawning upon a
material age. The great spiritual facts of being, like rays of light, shine in
the darkness, though the darkness, comprehending them not, may deny their
reality. The proof that the system stated in this book is Christianly
scientific resides in the good this system accomplishes, for it cures on a
divine demonstrable Principle which all may understand.
If mathematics should present a thousand different examples
of one rule, the proving of one example would authenticate all the others. A
simple statement of Christian Science, if demonstrated by healing, contains the
proof of all here said of Christian Science. If one of the statements in this
book is true, every one must be true, for not one departs from the stated
system and rule. You can prove for yourself, dear reader, the Science of
healing, and so ascertain if the author has given you the correct
interpretation of Scripture."
Today we are going to talk about Mrs. Eddy's system. She
tells us on p.209 in S&H line 25 "Material substances or mundane
formations, astronomical calculations, and all the paraphernalia of speculative
theories, based on the hypothesis of material law or life and intelligence
resident in matter, will ultimately vanish, swallowed up in the infinite
calculus of Spirit."
