About Us: The Mary Baker Eddy Institute was chartered
in 1988 as a Non-Profit Corporation by Helen M. Wright, and her husband,
William C. Wright.
Helen M. Wright, a life-long Christian Scientist,was born
and raised in Seattle, Washington. When a young girl both her mother and father
were healed of serious illnesses through the practice of Christian Science.
Thus, Mrs. Wright became devoted to honoring Mary Baker Eddy as the Discoverer
and Founder of Christian Science. Her entire life was dedicated to this worthy
goal.
Upon Mrs. Wright's passing in 2005 the name of the Institute
was changed to the Mary Baker Eddy Science Institute, to more clearly reflect
the changing times.
The Mary Baker Eddy Science Institute is an Independent
Non-Sectarian Institution, not affiliated with any church or denomination or
religious organization.
The MBE Science Institute seeks to disseminate the pure
Science and system of the Christ Science as brought forth by Mary Baker Eddy,
and later elucidated in the writings of John W. Doorly, London, England, (circa
1950).For futher reference, see the Textbook authored by Mrs. Eddy, "Science
and Health With Key to the Scriptures".
Helen Wright, together with others, notably Mrs. Peggy
Brook, Mr. John Morgan, Mr. Lawrence Sinton, and Mr. Gordon Brown (also of the
United Kingdom) labored more than fifty years for the teaching and evolution of
this Scientific Cause.
The Mary Baker Eddy Science Institute is a 50l(C)(3)
non-profit tax-exempt organization, and is supported in large measure by the
generosity of public contributions and individual donations. Those wishing to
