Have you ever read the "Blue Book"?

There are many today that have found some of the most awe-inspiring accounts concerning Mary Baker Eddy and her early students in what is known as the Blue Book—Divinity Course and General Collectanea compiled by Richard Oakes. This book is comprised of much information preserved by the Carpenter Foundation. This is the same information that was given in trust to the Mother Church on the condition that they make it available to the field. This, however, the church never did; the information was secured by them and buried in the archives, never to see the light of day until through the efforts of intrepid workers.

Gratefully though much of this same information originally preserved by the Carpenters is contained in this book and its companion volume, the "Red Book"—Essays and Other Footprints compiled by Richard Oakes. Gilbert Carpenter Sr., CSB was a secretary of Mrs. Eddy's at one time, and with his son, is largely responsible for preserving these valuable insights into the life and work of Mary Baker Eddy.

These books have been used by thousands of practitioners and students of Christian Science over the years in their healing work and for inspiration. Each is available from either the Bookmark or Rare Book Company for about $20. See our "Other Organizations" page or contact them at the following:
